Senior Support Services Associate I

The Pike County Health Department is accepting applications for a full-time Senior Support Services Associate I – Clinical.

This position serves under the direction of the Support Services Supervisor.

General Duties include:

  • Assemble and maintain complete patient medical records and files
  • Interview patient to ensure completeness and accuracy of demographic information required for various services and programs
  • Route/direct patient to appropriate staff person
  • Collect, record and enter fees obtained from patients into statewide network
  • Prepare routine letters, labels and other appropriate material
  • Answer multi-line telephone system
  • Schedule initial and follow-up patient appointments
  • Review appropriate reporting sheet of services provided to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Generate and/or issue Woman Infant and Children (WIC) vouchers
  • Request routine reports available from the PSRS, inventory and order office supplies
  • Maintain auto-dialer according to agency and patient requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education, Training or Experience: High School Diploma or GED.

Starting Salary: $10.10-$12.41/hour negotiable with additional experience. Grade 10

Local Health Nurse I

The Pike County Health Department is accepting applications on a continual basis for registered nurses (Local Health Nurse I). This does not mean there are current openings for these positions, just that a register of applicants is maintained for future openings.

This position serves under the direction of the Nurse Supervisor.

General Duties include:

  • Provide basic entry level nursing care and assessments to the client consistent with the Public Health Practice Reference, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice.
  • Establish policies, procedures and licensing laws.
  • Document services provided to the client according to standards of the CCSG and Administrative Reference (AR).
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy according to guidelines.
  • Develop and conduct educational counseling and teaching activities for individual clients and families.
  • Utilize basic awareness of community resources and complete required trainings.

Minimum Education, Training or Experience: See special requirements.

Special Requirements: (Age, Licensure, Regulation, Etc.) Must have RN license in Kentucky or compact state or provisional license in Kentucky, meeting all requirements of KRS 314.041(external link) and approval to practice as Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA).

Starting Salary: $15.51 - $19.36/hr negotiable with additional experience. Grade 15
